Aura Perfume by NEXT

Next have always made quality perfumes that are beautiful and affordable for everyday use. I have always had compliments when wearing their scents. They make me feel confident and beautiful. I am so passionate about their perfume range that I want to show others this stunning Aura range.

I always like to smell nice even if I'm at home and not seeing anyone. I wondered what perfume I should get to replace an old one that was expensive. I looked around for ages and then discovered this Aura range from Next. At the time of purchasing they had a couple of items in the range. I decided to choose the small giftset so I could try it and see how the scent was. I loved the description. I like perfume to last all day but nothing overpowering. I saw a small 30ml perfume set which was perfect to sample it. Like most beauty products the smaller sizes are the best way to start to trial them. This is uplifting and I'm addicted.- by Collette.

THE SCENT : Aura perfume is an attractive blend of White flowers, Vanilla and Cassis. It is blended with musk and white amber.

Aura perfume set 30ml perfume, 50ml body lotion and lipbalm £12.00

This Aura perfume set was a wonderful thing to discover. The only trepidation I had was how strong the musk was. I had an unfortunate incident with a white musk fragrance in my teenage years and the scent makes me feel sick if the musk is too overpowering.  Thankfully they blended the scent to perfection.

This Aura lipbalm uses coconut oil and it glides onto the lips leaving them instantly hydrated. I am hoping they release this as an individual product to buy as it's so good! It is better than the standard lip balms I buy in packets from beauty stores. It's that luscious to give you a perfect pout and kissable lips.

This Aura perfume bottle 30ml smells incredible. This is a perfect size to sample the range. This Aura perfume bottle looks stunning in my vanity table when the light hits it. It illuminates making a stunning bottle that looks almost celestial.

The Aura shimmer body lotion in the set was a pleasant surprise. This body lotion I wasn't keen on using as I'm in my forties and not wanting to look like a fairy. Next made this with a subtle shimmer to make the body look healthy and skin look glowing.

           Aura Expansion in Next .

Once I continued to use this set above, I wanted to purchase more. I was overwhelmed at how beautiful this range was and the new products they had to go with this perfume. Below is the range of products available to layer the scent.

Aura hand cream 100ml £4.00. This hand cream absorbs into the skin perfectly and rids me of the dry hands from hand sanitiser, This has the beautiful scent, like the perfume, so my hands smell gorgeous of white flowers, creamy vanilla, cassis and amber. Its so nice to have hydrated soft hands that smell lovely.

Aura 100ml bottle of perfume retails at £14.00. As you can see from the above photograph, I'm halfway down the bottle. Its beautiful. Even when I'm in my jeans and a sweater with hair tied up this makes me feel so happy to wear, it's almost a hug in a bottle.

I was overjoyed to discover Next launched shower gel to match the perfume. they sell these in packs of two 400ml bottles for £12.00. These are beautiful after a workout and refreshes the skin beautifully. The scent is so heavenly to wash with and lifts my mood even when I'm tired first thing in the morning. It's a perfect scent to welcome in a new day. I'd be lost without this duo. I have to stipulate that my skin feels so soft after using this in the shower. This subtle gorgeous shimmer is beautiful making the skin glow.

Aura body spray is sold in a pack of two 145ml bottles for £8.00. I was grateful they did this as I was using my perfume on my clothes. This is great to refresh the body anytime of the day. The scent is light but long lasting. The bottle looks lovely on my vanity table with the rest of the range.

Aura Shimmer Body Lotion body cream came in a gift set with the 100ml perfume and costs £14.00
The cream is so rich and has a slight shimmer which doesn't look embarrassing on someone my age. It is rich and hydrating, leaving a smooth skin finish.

Aura body butter is a lot thicker than the body cream. This retails at £8.00 for 300ml.
This is the thickest body butter I have ever tried. The butter is so rich and creamy and I had to push down on the body butter to collect some to put on. Its incredibly rich that after one application I didn't need to reapply any that night.
Aura body butter next to the Aura body lotion.

I hope you enjoyed this post about my journey with this Next Aura perfume collection. It takes a lot for me to find a perfume that makes me feel happy, beautiful and confident. Aura has brightened my year up . Even its beautiful iridescent bottle looks beautiful in the bathroom or my bedroom. When the light hits it, it brings me joy. Worth trying this is you to want to treat yourself but don't want to spend lots of money on something that doesn't last as long. I look forward to layering this scent every day. The hint of jasmine is stunning. I'm excited to see what else Next produce in fragrance. Thank you, Next!

A Haunting Memoir: Part one

My story starts when I was a young child. I was born in Scotland but moved down to Somerset as a child. I loved it so much. I loved the flowers and the conkers I’d collect on the way to school. I remember all the frogs in my garden and how I'd name them. I moved twice down in England. The houses were always large and I’d get the rooms mixed up, trying to remember where to turn to find my bedroom. I would visit London where my relatives stayed. I loved the vibe of London. One visit to my Nans, we walked down to Church Street market and seeing so many interesting people. The one man with dreadlocks holding a large ghetto blaster on his shoulder playing Bob Marley passed me. I couldn’t get enough of the place. One stall had toys on it. I bought some wooden blocks and a handheld electronic mini piano. They were perfect mementos to remember my visit. When we returned to Scotland I unpacked and placed my electronic piano on my bedside table. It had colours on the notes and London Bridge

L’Oréal Revitalift

L’Oréal are an established company that have delivered quality beauty products for over a century . L’Oréal is a brand I can trust. I worked with L’Oréal by trying the Revitalift range of products over six months. This range offers more than the skincare I was using. I invite you to read more about Revitalift and my journey with this range. ~ Collette.      Revitalift is a range of products I had seen advertised and heard amazing feedback from others. I was thrilled when L’Oréal invited me to try these products over the lockdown months. I am in my 40’s and I struggled to find skincare that is effective. Lockdown has taken it’s toll on my skin. I have new wrinkles from tears and frustration like a lot of people. Firstly I tried their Revitalift Laser Renewal moisturiser. This was lovely and light on the skin. This moisturiser is the first moisturiser I used. It has a subtle colour to it that leaves a gorgeous glow on the skin. Revitalift Laser Renew is light on the skin. It gives skin a

Beauty Ties creator: Collette

Hello BeauTies, I have always loved art from an early age. Taking photographs and drawing or painting. I have designed two wedding dresses for friends who got them made up. I've adored beauty products since I had my Victoria Plum nail polish and lip balm from Avon as a child. I love beauty products and how they make me feel. The colours and scents. I get so much joy from trying new products and photographing them. I skipped the afternoon one day at school and ended up in a movie. That was unexpected and it fuelled my passion for creativity and how things are made. It was an experience I will never forget. My name was taken by someone in the crew to go in the credits but when I saw the movie I was not on the credits, sadly. I will never forget the joy I got from being in it. Long days from early mornings and late finishes. The photo from the press shoot hangs in my hallway. Julia urged me to hang it up rather than feel ashamed of it. So it’s hanging up in my home for the first tim
