BeautyTies Wrapped 2021

2021 has been an exciting year for BeautyTies. We have achieved a lot considering the world has been unpredictable and confusing at times. Here is a breakdown of our 2021.  Superfly Ambassadors  In 2021 We were made Superfly Ambassadors. We were sick of constantly throwing away so many plastic bottles and were shocked to find out the pump parts can’t be recycled! So we switched to vegan handmade soap. Superfly soap is vegan and kind to our hands and the soap lasts a lot longer than the liquid ones. So it’s a perfect switch. It’s also cheaper in the long run.  This soap lasts months! We got a beautiful mahogany soap dish, bamboo face cloth which is so beautiful and soft. They also do lip balms, face serums and creams and soap for dogs. All products are vegan and eco-friendly. SAAL Photobook

SAAL are a professional photo lab who produce the best products for their customers. They offer photobooks, photo prints, posters, greetings cards, calendars and wall decor. I was flattered to be offered £100 voucher to create a photo album in exchange for an honest review. I had a repeated issue using the SAAL app, so I used the laptop to create the album. Julia sent me some of her photographs to be added.  The result is an exquisite photo book that will be cherished. Written by Collette.     The SAAL app I assumed would be simple to use. The app let me choose the layout and when I named the album, I found the app wouldn't save the album name. Thinking it may have been my mobile, I checked my iPhone and found all the updates were updated and had cleared cookies and cache. I tried again to create the album and I chose the photographs I wanted. I previewed the album and I wanted to return to change something but when I pressed return it deleted the entire album. I contacted SAAL

A Haunting Memoir: Part Three

FIFE I moved back to Fife into my friend Lana's house that she was moving out from. It was a large home and had a beautiful garden. It was perfect for Julia to start school. Things were calm and I started working for SKY. I was on 10am until 10pm shift Saturday to Monday. It was great money and I got a pay rise within the first year. It meant I got full time wage but had most of the week off to spend with Julia. This was the start of a better life in a better place. The home was also occupied by the largest spiders I’ve ever seen. Lana did warn me, but I was just grateful I had a lovely roof over our heads. Julia was loving primary school. Things went quiet for a year. Normality returned, and I was grateful. One night I was on the phone to a friend in my bedroom, catching up.    BANG  Something hit the top of my bedroom door with such a force that I jumped. “What was that?” My friend asked on the phone.  “Something hit the top of my door!”  “Check

A Haunting Memoir: Part Two

EDINBURGH I moved to Edinburgh when I left home age 19. I wanted to get out of my home as soon as possible. I loved the city so much. I spent time at The Fringe Festival and would go out with friends enjoying the sounds of bands while enjoying drinks in various venues that had an outdoor garden with fairy lights lit up in the courtyard. It was wonderful to enjoy life and learn about it from amazing people from various backgrounds who were visiting Edinburgh from other countries. It had such a buzz in the atmosphere and I loved the fact I was away from my haunted house. One flatmate used to work on a Yacht and I shared a flat with her and her fiancé. Corstorphine was a lovely area, My bedroom overlooked the tennis courts. My room was a perfect size for me. It wasn't until I unpacked that I realised the spell book was with my belongings. I showed it to my flatmate who wanted to read it. I told her about the odd things that happened and how I was glad to be out of the house. A year ha
