Distorted Reality Of Beauty

Firstly we want to say thank you for clicking on this to read. We haven’t been blogging for long. We understand the blogging community is ‘White noise.’ One thing we know is the ‘perfect’ airbrushed photographs across social media isn’t healthy. We don’t ‘live for the ‘gram.’  We are doing this because it’s fun and we love beauty products. Ironically companies don’t tend to want to collaborate with people unless you have over five  thousand followers. How is anyone supposed to notice anyone else? Trust me -if Maya Angelou started a blog up that had just five people - it would be the most incredible and valuable blog ever made. We all have a voice. We can speak a thousand words, buy followers and shout from the rooftops and it wouldn’t make a difference. Life isn’t all candyfloss and glitter. Although, trust us when we say it would be fabulous if it was. We love unique people. People with personality and their own flair. We love Chanel but live in a council house! The weird social lad

Mother & Daughter Dynamics

Hello BeauTies!  Julia and I have spoken in depth about how the dynamics between mother and daughter changes as they get older. I didn't get handed a book on how to bring up children. We have to do it on instincts and values. We were talking about how much she has achieved and how she is now doing her dream job before she is 21. This amazes me she has accomplished what she has. I'm not a boasting mother or anything but it's highly interesting to reflect on where we started. I thought i'd share how we got here.     I became a single parent with Julia while she was young. This was never my intention but we deal with what life brings us. I remember being strict but fair. I had to be the mum and the dad. I remember taking her for the tests to see how Julia was developing. The health visitor was at the doctors. There was a tub with shaped holes on the top. The woman asked Julia to put the shapes in. Julia walked over to the shape bucket and lifted the lid up. Julia swoo

OSKIA

Last November we were invited  to attend an OSKIA event at Gleneagles. We arrived down a road with lit up trees and our entrance immediately made us feel special. We hadn’t heard of OSKIA before and we were eager to find out what was different about this skincare. We were in for a treat. We walked through the hotel passed shops that showcased Rolex watches and Diamond jewellery.People passed us with their dogs and smiled saying hello. The corridors were long and like a fairytale we passed two ballrooms full of women dressed in their finery and men in suits. The scent of Chanel filled the air. We were escorted to a bar where we picked up complementary cocktails and got seated waiting for the creator of OSKIA to arrive. Then a woman walked in. Very stylish and friendly. This was the creator of OSKIA, Georgie Cleeve. We sipped our cocktails while we listened eagerly about the products she created. Georgie was a stunning lady. Fresh faced and intelligent she told us
